What Does this ultrasound Result Mean?

Yes Results of Ultrasound KUB Question 1 Prostate measures 42 x 51 x 48 mm 53 volume cc enlarged. Implications ? Question 2 Both kidneys show increased cortical echogenicity - suggested RFT ; Right renal critical cysts measuring 18 mm lower pole ; Right renal calculus ; Grade II Prostomegally with postvoid residue of 100 ml ; Mild irregular urinary bladder wall thickening. Pl give views

Hello

Your ultrasound findings may suggests renal parenchymal disease.
Patient may need clinical correlation and further investigations.Investigations include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,renal function test(serum urea,creatinine,creatinine clearance,GFR,serum sodium,potassium,calcium,phosphorus,bicarbonate etc).
Treatment depend upon findings.
Findings also suggests moderately enlarged prostate.You may need PSA(prostate specific antigen) estimation.Mild bladder thickening may be due to enlarged prostate.
Treatment of enlarged prostate is both conservative and surgical.It need evaluation.
Renal cortical cysts are generally developmental findings.It may only require follow up ultrasound.
